The ordering system for your cafe
In a cafe, mornings make the day: between 07:00 and 10:30, 40–50% of daily revenue comes in. GastroSystem keeps your cafe productive through that rush hour — table ordering via QR code, takeaway orders through the app, automatic receipt printing in the kitchen and a POS that records a €2.50 filter coffee just as cleanly as a weekend brunch plate at €14.90.

How GastroSystem helps in a cafe's daily routine
QR code ordering at the table
Every table gets a QR code stand. Guests scan, order and pay themselves in the browser — no app download required. This takes the pressure off staff during rush hour and cuts waiting times for the bill. New orders print automatically on the receipt printer without anyone having to walk to the table.
Live updates for daily specials and availability
Cake sold out, daily special finished — one click in the dashboard automatically hides the item. No guest can order something that is no longer available. Daily specials can be pre-programmed with time windows: breakfast menu visible only until 11:00, lunch offer automatically active from 11:30.
Takeaway pre-ordering with collection time
Guests order via the app and choose a collection time in 5-minute slots. You prepare at the right time, no queuing at the counter. For the cafe, that means predictable kitchen utilisation instead of uncontrollable walk-in peaks.
All payment methods at the table
Card payment via Sumup or Stripe terminal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal — everything runs through GastroSystem. Tip suggestions appear automatically on the payment screen. Every transaction flows into the daily close and Z-report, TSE-signed.
What a cafe gains with GastroSystem
A cafe with 80 guests/day and an average ticket of €6.50 turns over approx. €15,000 per month. At 20% through a third-party platform, that costs up to €900 in commission. With GastroSystem, the same volume costs a €79 flat rate. On top of that, the average ticket typically rises by €0.80–€1.20 through QR-code upselling — that is €2,000–€3,000 in additional revenue per year.

Common questions for cafes
Can I configure different menus for breakfast, lunch and afternoon?
Yes. You define time windows per category or product — the breakfast menu automatically appears only until 11:00, the lunch menu from 11:30. No manual switching required.
How does table ordering work without an app?
Every table gets a QR code sticker or stand. The guest scans with their smartphone camera app, opens the ordering page in the browser, selects dishes and pays directly. No account, no app download.
Can I run one receipt printer in the kitchen and one at the counter?
Yes. You can configure as many printers as you like. Kitchen orders (food) go to the kitchen printer, drinks and payment receipts to the counter. Connection via Wi-Fi, LAN or Bluetooth.
Is the system suitable for small cafes with 2–3 staff?
Yes. Many GastroSystem customers are solo operations or small teams. The system is set up in under 30 minutes, runs on a standard iPad and requires no IT knowledge.
