Core Feature

Your restaurant in numbers

Most restaurant operators don't know exactly how much they earned today until the end-of-day closing is done. The GastroSystem dashboard shows you daily revenue, average order value, cancellation rate and bestsellers in real time, from any device with a browser.

Real-time KPIs: the five most important metrics

The dashboard constantly displays five core KPIs: (1) today's revenue so far, (2) number of orders, (3) average order value (revenue / orders), (4) cancellation rate in percent, (5) vouchers redeemed. These five numbers are enough to assess the current day: is the average order value lower than usual? Perhaps fewer combos are running. Has the cancellation rate risen? Possibly an operational issue. All five KPIs update every second.

Hourly charts: recognise and plan your peak

A bar chart shows revenue and order count per hour — for today, this week or this month. You see immediately: on Fridays peak hits between 7 and 9 p.m., on Wednesdays there are hardly any lunch orders after 1 p.m. This data makes shift planning predictable rather than gut-feel based. If you know that 40% of Thursday evening revenue comes in at 8 p.m., you know how many chefs you need at that time.

Bestsellers and flops — optimise the menu with data

Which dishes sell most often? Which are rarely or never ordered? The bestseller view shows all products sorted by order frequency. Dishes ordered fewer than 5 times in 30 days are candidates for removal — space on the menu that more profitable alternatives could occupy. Dishes running 30 times per week are revenue drivers. The data comes directly from the live ordering system — no manual analysis needed.

Period comparisons: week vs. previous week, month vs. previous month

You compare any time periods: this week vs. last week, this month vs. the same month last year. If revenue falls 15% in a month, you can check whether it is seasonal or whether a specific drop (e.g. after a promotion ended) is behind it. All period comparisons are configured in three clicks.

Z-reports and GoBD-compliant data storage

End-of-day closing via Z-report: one click, and the system generates a closing with total revenue, payment methods (cash, debit card, credit card, online), cancellations and voucher redemptions. The Z-report is immediately exportable as PDF — for your accountant, for the tax authority. All booking data is stored GoBD-compliantly in an immutable format and can be provided via DSFinV-K export at a tax audit.

Access from anywhere — browser, no extra app download

The dashboard runs entirely in the browser: desktop, tablet, smartphone. You check the numbers from your home office, while shopping or on your way home. Employees see only the areas you have unlocked for them — role-based access rights are configurable in the Professional plan.

Frequently asked questions about the dashboard

Which KPIs does the dashboard show in real time?

Daily revenue, order count, average order value, cancellation rate and redeemed vouchers — all updating every second. Additionally: hourly charts, bestseller ranking and comparison with previous periods.

Can I use the dashboard from my phone?

Yes. The dashboard is fully responsive and runs in the browser on any device — no separate app download needed.

Can I export reports for my accountant?

Yes. Z-reports are exportable as PDF, revenue overviews and product statistics as CSV. For a tax audit the DSFinV-K export is available.

How often do restaurant operators check the dashboard?

Typically 3–5 times a day: morning for the week-start check, midday for an interim review and evening for the end-of-day closing. Via phone the quick check takes under 10 seconds.

Can I compare time periods (e.g. this week vs. last week)?

Yes. You select two time periods and see the comparison side by side — revenue, order count and average order value. This lets you identify whether a decline is seasonal or whether a promotion had an effect.

Do my employees see the same data?

You configure this via role-based rights: service staff see open orders but not revenue figures. Managers see all KPIs. Data access is granularly controllable in the Professional plan.

Can reports be exported automatically?

Z-reports are automatically generated at midnight and saved as PDF. You always find the report ready — no manual closing needed, if you configure it that way.
