Table reservation — directly in your system
Online reservations with no commission to OpenTable and no fees to TheFork: guests book directly through your website or app, and you manage everything in your dashboard. You decide when bookings are possible, how long a table is occupied, and how many guests can arrive at the same time.
An integrated table reservation gives your guests the ability to book directly with you around the clock — without going through booking platforms that charge €1.50–€2.50 per cover or monthly fees. GastroSystem is the reservation system already built into your platform.
Configure time grid and table capacities
Define time slots for reservations: every 15, 30 or 60 minutes, separately for lunch service and dinner service. Each table gets a capacity and a day profile (e.g. table 1 up to 4 persons, table 7 evenings only). The system checks capacity on every booking and prevents overbooking automatically. Guests only see available times.
Deposit and credit card guarantee
For large groups or events you can require a deposit at reservation (e.g. €10 per person, paid by credit card at booking) or just a credit card guarantee without immediate charge. If the guest doesn't show and doesn't cancel in time, the configured no-show fee is charged automatically. Smaller tables can book without a fee — configurable by party size or table size.
Automatic confirmation and reminder
Immediately after booking the guest receives a confirmation email with date, time, party size and an iCal download link. 24 hours before the booking an automatic reminder email goes out. The reminder includes a 'Cancel' link — guests who cancel in time free up the table. You no longer send any manual emails.
Automate no-show protection
Define the no-show window: anyone who cancels later than, for example, 6 hours before the booking or doesn't show at all pays the configured fee. The system charges the amount automatically from the stored credit card and sends a confirmation email. You see all no-shows in the dashboard and can manually override in exceptional cases.
iCal export and calendar integration
All reservations can be subscribed to as an iCal feed — directly in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar. This gives you and your team a live view of the occupancy plan in your familiar calendar tool. No separate software, no logging into the dashboard for a daily overview.

Frequently asked questions about reservations
Do I have to confirm every online reservation?
Yes. Tables booked online come in as a request, your tablet alerts you, and you confirm or decline. The guest gets an email either way, provided they gave an address. Reservations you enter yourself are confirmed immediately.
What times do my guests see?
Only times that actually work: within your opening hours, after your lead time, within the booking window and with a free table that fits the group. Closed days and special closures aren't bookable. If nothing's free, the shop says why.
What can I configure?
The interval between bookable times, how long a table is occupied, how last-minute and how far ahead bookings can be made, the largest group size for online bookings, how many guests can arrive at the same time at most, how long you wait before someone counts as a "no-show", and whether the app assigns tables itself. You switch online booking on yourself.
Can a table be double-booked?
No. The same table is never assigned twice at the same time, and a table for four never gets six guests.
Can the guest cancel themselves?
Yes. Every email has a link to their reservation, where they can cancel. Your tablet alerts you, and the table is free again.
Do you take a deposit or a no-show fee?
No. Reserving is free for your guests. Anyone who doesn't show up is marked as a no-show after your grace period.
What happens when the guest arrives?
You set the reservation to At the table, and the visit opens up at exactly that table. Once it's paid, the reservation is complete.
How do I see the evening at a glance?
In the day view of the app: every reservation with time, name, party size, table and status, filterable by status.
