Payment methods

Which payment methods can I offer?

PayPal, credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, cash on delivery or pickup.

Which payment providers are supported?

PayPal and Stripe. Via Stripe, credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are available.

Does the payment integration cost extra?

No. The integration is included in the flat rate. Payment providers charge their usual transaction fees (e.g. PayPal: 2.49 % + €0.35).

When do I receive my money?

PayPal and Stripe pay out directly to your linked account — typically within 1–2 business days.

Can I offer cash payment?

Yes. Customers can pay cash on delivery or pickup. You decide which payment methods are available.

Do I need a PayPal business account?

Yes. For PayPal payments, you need a PayPal Business account. For Stripe, you need a Stripe account.

Can I set minimum order values per payment method?

You can set global minimum order values. These apply equally to all payment methods.

Are payments secure?

Yes. All payments go through the encrypted servers of PayPal or Stripe. GastroSystem does not store credit card data.

Can I enable tipping?

Yes. Customers can add a tip when ordering online. The amount is charged with the order.

What happens with a cancellation?

For cancellations, the payment is refunded through the payment provider. You initiate the refund in the dashboard.

Can I offer card payment on-site?

GastroSystem is primarily an online ordering system. For on-site card payment, you use a separate card reader.
