Google Analytics
Short and honest: there is no Google Analytics integration. Why not — and what you have instead.
GastroSystem does not connect to Google Analytics. There is no field for a measurement ID and no tag is loaded into your ordering shop. That is a decision, not an open building site: an analytics tag in the shop means a cookie banner in front of the menu and a US service in every restaurant's privacy policy. What a restaurateur wants to know is not in page views anyway but in orders — and those we have.
What you do instead
There is nothing to set up. The reporting is already there:
Open the dashboard
Revenue, orders, average basket and the trend over time are in the dashboard — per location and per period.
Look at the numbers that count
Which dishes sell, when the peaks are, how many guests come back. That is order data, not an estimate derived from clicks.
Export it if you want more
Reports can be exported if you want to work them further in your own analysis.
What the dashboard shows you
Revenue and orders
By day, week and month, per location — from actual orders, not from page views.
Articles and product groups
What sells and what sits. Also in the X and Z report as a product-group block.
Order types
Delivery, collection, table and counter kept apart — and what each of them brings in.
Returning guests
Anyone who has ordered once is part of your customer data, not a platform's.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add my own Google Analytics tag?
No. The ordering shop loads no third-party scripts you could supply. If you want to measure reach, do it on your own website — there you are free.
Is that not a drawback?
For measuring reach, yes; for running the business, rarely. A restaurant decides on its menu, its hours and its delivery radius — and for that, order data is the better source than sessions. We would rather say so plainly than promise an integration that does not exist.
Does my ordering shop then need a cookie banner?
Not because of us: we load no analytics script into your shop and set no cookies for one. Whatever else your privacy policy needs depends on your business, not on us.
Can I export the figures?
Yes. Reports can be exported from the dashboard; for bookkeeping there is also the DSFinV-K export and the DATEV booking batch.
